A woman's frantic search for a collection of 'irreplaceable' diamond rings was miraculously saved by a make-shift sign. Lucy Brock's mum put up a cardboard sign up in her window to try and help her daughter find the missing rings.
The 36-year-old was left heartbroken when the three rings slipped off and disappeared. She says she had lost her silver diamond engagement ring, 21st birthday white and gold twisted band ring, and vintage gold with two diamonds ring, which was inherited by her late gran.
The 'irreplaceable' jewellery fell from Lucy's lap as she sprung out of the car in Greater Manchester. Following the incident, the vet searched the area and reported the missing rings to police.
Alongside that Lucy also posted a £500 reward appeal on social media and put up a sign in her mum's living room window. Despite her best efforts she feared she would never see the precious jewellery again.
However, three days later while working she received a call from her mum that the rings had been found. Lucy said: "I burst into tears at work when mum rang me to tell me they'd been handed in.
"I was convinced they had been stolen and was in utter disbelief to begin with. All three of them had been turned in and it made me so emotional and truly overjoyed.
"I was beyond delighted to get them back and to see them myself. It stores a little bit of faith in humanity and I told my mum 'angels do exist'."
The 'angel' that found the jewellery, Carmel Serridge, says she had been walking her dog and looking down to avoid the bright sunlight. She claims that when she looked down at the curb she saw something glistening.
Carmel said: "I saw the rings and picked them up out of the road, but it wasn't until I got home I realised these were valuable
