A young woman says she 'did not want to be here anymore' after 'being raped' by Benjamin Mendy, a jury has heard. The alleged victim - Woman Two - told a court she 'just wanted my life to end' after being sexually attacked by the 28-year-old at his mansion in Cheshire.
The Manchester City defender is accused of raping the woman three times at his home near Prestbury in October 2020. He denies all charges against him. Prosecutors allege Mr Mendy is a 'predator' who 'turned the pursuit of women for sex into a game'.
Jurors have previously heard that Woman Two went back to the footballer's house with other women following a Sunday evening drinking session in a bar. Today, the woman explained to the court why she decided to go to the police and go through with a prosecution against Mr Mendy.

In response to questioning from Timothy Cray QC, prosecuting, the woman told jurors: “The main reason was I just did not want to be here anymore. That’s a really scary thought for me to have because I have good friends and a good job, but I couldn’t carry on not being honest.
"If someone just listens and it is out of me then I can try to carry on. I didn’t want to live a life where pretty much I didn’t want to be here anymore.
“I didn’t want to do that to my family or my sister.”
Under cross-examination from Mr Mendy's defence barrister, Eleanor Laws QC, the woman said that in the weeks following the alleged rape, she ‘felt so bad’ and ‘just wanted my life to end’. She eventually reported what had happened to police on November 2 - several weeks after attending Mr Mendy’s home.
