Luckily, there was nobody living at the home during the incident and Bob says if it wasn’t for the cherry blossom tree in the front garden, both cars would have driven straight through the home.
Bob said: “It could have been worse because it the tree hadn’t been they would have been in their front room.
“They just got it all decorated it looks lovely inside, she’s sick as a dog. She’s one of them people that starts spewing when she's really upset.
“But I said the thing you’ve got to be thankful for was that there was no kid playing, or a woman with a pram.
“Nobody was hurt apart from the two drivers, one of them was very apologetic when it happened and said they’d sort it all out."
A retired builder, Bob said he’ll be spending his Easter Sunday clearing the mess outside his daughter’s home to make sure everything is safe.
He said: “I’m a retired builder and I’m 69, I shouldn’t be doing this on Easter Sunday but what can you do.
“I’ve just come down today to tidy it up because it looks a mess.
“You get it looking like that and kids start messing about and next thing you know you’ve got brick through your window.”
Police and firefighters rushed to the scene just after 6.45pm yesterday evening (April 16).
