The Queen’s granddaughter Zara Tindall doesn’t hold a royal title, unlike her cousins Princes William and Harry and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie. Zara, 41, and her brother Peter Philips are Queen Elizabeth II’s eldest grandchildren, however they don’t hold a HRH status, nor do they participate in royal duties.
As the children of Princess Anne and her ex husband Mark Phillips, Zara is 21st in line for the throne, while Peter, 44, is the eldest of Her Majesty’s grandchildren and 14th in line for the throne. However the reason for them not holding royal titles is one that’s been around for centuries.
