Summer signing Tyrell Malacia has hit the ground running this season.
The left-back has usurped Luke Shaw in the starting XI at Manchester United and has become adored by the fans after fantastic showings against the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal. The 23-year-old has featured in every game so far and has become a staple within Erik ten Hag’s line-up.
Malacia is also impressing on the international stage. He has earned five caps for the Netherlands and will likely be on the plane to Qatar in November.

His efforts on the training pitch are obviously paying off under the watchful eye of former United boss Louis van Gaal who looks to be a big fan of the defender. Malacia gave him another reason to award him a sixth cap against Belgium on Sunday by netting a lovely curling effort with the outside of his boot during pre-match preparations.
It prompted Van Gaal to yell out "oohhh Malacia" in delight as he watched on from the sidelines. The full-back is known for his attacking abilities, which makes him perfect for the style of play Ten Hag is trying to implement at Old Trafford.
The Netherlands adopt high full-backs in their play and the energetic Malacia is tipped to become a regular in future years, and even perhaps at the World Cup. This is testament to the youngster’s abilities given Van Gaal runs a tight ship at the helm of the national side.
He warned Jurrien Timber earlier this year that he may not get into the squad for Qatar if he moved to United and failed to register enough game time. Malacia still made the jump across to England with this in the back of his mind and has been rewarded for his self-confidence.
