The Sex and the City reboot has been one of the biggest announcements of the new year, but it’s been almost overshadowed by the news that Kim Cattrall wouldn’t be returning.

That’s a lot of cosmos! Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon and Kim Cattrall had quite a successful run. From 1998 to 2004, HBO’s Sex and the City aired 94 episodes over six seasons and the core four raked in the cash. However, they weren’t given the same salaries across the board.

It is what it is! Sex and the City author Candace Bushnell has no doubt that the upcoming revival will be a hit — even without Kim Cattrall involved.

The long-awaited Sex and the City revival is moving forward without the fourth member of the iconic TV quartet. And on Monday night, late-night hosts Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers and Jimmy Kimmel reacted to the news of the HBO series returning without Kim Cattrall.

Although she’s remained silent about the newly announced Sex and The City revival,  Kim Cattrall “liked” the following fan tweet on January 11: “I absolutely love Sex and the City and whilst I am saddened that Samantha will not return, I applaud doing what is best for you and think this is great example of putting yourself first. Well done @KimCattrall.” The Twitter user ended up receiving a slew of similar replies that favored the actress. 

Kim Cattrall has no regrets about not being part of the new series coming to HBO Max.While her co-stars, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis, are all on board for the new series, titled, Cattrall already declared in 2019 that she would never reprise her iconic role as Samantha.
