Dave Arch is the BBC show's longstanding Musical Director, and some fans may want to know more behind the music mastermind. With the show's 20th series underway, many will be enjoying the soundtracks which Dave puts together each week.
The 59-year-old has been a part of the show since 2006 and is in charge of Strictly's in-house orchestra, which learns up to 14 pieces of music for each episode.
Dave is a musician, composer and conductor and was previously a member of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra before landing the Strictly role.
As reported by the Mirror, he studied at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama before beginning his career.
He has kept his private life out of the public eye during his tenure on one of the BBC's flagship shows but we do know that he is married and has two sons and one daughter with his wife.
Strictly co-host Claudia Winkleman often gives him a shout out during the live show and previously congratulated the composer by calling him “wonderful”.
She said: "Our wonderful Dave Arch was honoured this week with a honorary degree from The Prestigious Skills Hall, which is absolutely extraordinary. So I think we should have a round of applause. We love him. Congratulations to Dave."
Their tight bond on-screen has previously led to fans believing they were an item, although this has been quickly dispelled as the two have a close friendship which has lasted for several years.
Outside of Strictly, Arch composes his own music and released an album in 2016 called 'Coming Home'.
