What time is Celebrity MasterChef on and who is in the lineup?

Celebrity MasterChef fans noticed chef John Torode had more than a little in common with everyone’s favourite sci-fi classic Star Trek. Viewers flocked to Twitter to point out the 57-year-old looked as though he’d borrowed from the wardrobe of Captain Kirk on Thursday’s episode. While deliberating which celebrity to send home out of Lesley Joseph, Richard Blackwood, Kirsty Gallacher and Jimmy Bullard, the TV personality sported a rather throwback get-up.

BBC soap. Back in the year 2000, the former Walford resident almost took the number one spot in the UK charts for his hit single ‘Mama Who Da Man’. His track climbed to third spot in the charts, while his album ‘You’ll Love To Hate This’ became the 35th best selling album at the time.

Rolling Stones track he sang on - so he can claim the royalties on it.  The actor, 70, who is best known for playing detective Lester Freamon in The Wire, is currently competing on Celebrity MasterChef.  In addition to his acting career, the entertainer also provided backing vocals for hits such as Boogie Nights by Heatwave back in 1977.

The celebrities had to cook for not only the judges but former Celebrity MasterChef contestants Vicky Pattison and Neil 'Razor' Ruddock and the 2018 champion John Partridge.

Taking to Twitter one viewer wrote: "Can you can tell the judges are walking on eggshells when judging Chris Eubank lmao That poutine looked atrocious lol".

Masterchef's Faye Winter has revealed why she wanted to take part in the BBC One cookery competition. The former Love Island star, 27, took to Instagram to share her reasoning - she is doing it for her dad, who was seriously ill with Covid. The post comes after Faye broke down to judge John Torode during the quarter-finals of the show.

Love Island star has been taking part in the BBC One cooking competition alongside the likes of Danny Jones from McFly, Paul Chuckle from the Chucklebrothers and American star Nancy Dell'Olio amongst other celebrities. Faye has been impressing on the show so far, cooking a myriad of dishes for judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace. She broke down as she discussed her reasoning behind doing the show, and how she wanted to choose dishes specifically based on what her dad liked.

Celebrity MasterChef spoilers follow. Tonight (August 12) saw three Celebrity MasterChef contestants fight it out to advance to the semi-finals. Children's TV icon Paul Chuckle, Love Island's Faye Winter and McFly's Danny Jones competed with each other by making a two-course meal for the judges as well as some special guests.

Joe Swash joined 2010 champion Lisa Faulkner and 2021 Christmas special champion Judi Love to judge the dishes. Sadly it was Paul's time to say goodbye after he cooked up an undercooked pork dish with apple and prunes. Revealing his thoughts about the meal, judge John Torode said: "Everybody enjoyed Paul's main course, the issue was you had a piece that was undercooked.

EastEnders actor, who recently married Stacey Solomon, was a runner-up on the hit BBC cooking show after stepping into the kitchen last year. This time he was back to actually judge the quarter finals - much to the surprise of viewers. Paul Elliott, of ChuckleVision fame, was facing off against Love Island's Faye Winters and McFly's Danny Jones for a spot in the semi-finals.
