French giants Paris Saint-Germain have been closely linked with his signature, but Ten Hag has reiterated that the England international is a key part of his plans moving forward and that he wants to keep hold of him. However, his performances over the last year have been a far cry from his true capabilities, meaning his World Cup ambitions hang by a thread with just a few months to go until the tournament kicks-off in Qatar.
And for former United striker Rooney, Rashford needs the support of his manager to try and get back to his best.
