Noel Gallagher has said that songs he’s performing live off his latest album ‘Council Skies‘ aren’t getting a good reception from his US audiences.The High Flying Birds singer, songwriter and guitarist said in a new interview that the response to him opening his sets with new material has been “terrible” so far.He told Rolling Stone: “[It’s] terrible. I’m starting off with [four or] five new ones.

Noel Gallagher has said the songs he’s co-written with The Black Keys are “fucking amazing”.Speaking to Rolling Stone, Gallagher, who spent time with The Black Keys, shared: “We did a week in the studio in London and wrote three songs and I’ve gotta tell you, they’re fucking amazing.”The Black Keys, made up of duo Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney who are working on their 12th studio album, previously praised the former Oasis member.Speaking to NME, Carney referred to him as the “incredible” Noel Gallagher, adding: “He’s hilarious and super talented, We were referring to him as ‘The Chord Lord’ because he’s just a perfectionist with it.”Carney also mentioned Noel’s brother, Liam Gallagher. “Dan and I are big fans of him and Liam,” he continued.

Noel Gallagher has joked that he was the reason behind Taylor Swift’s alleged split from Matty Healy.The pop icon was said to have been dating the 1975 frontman for a brief period, following her split from Joe Alwyn, who she had been in a relationship with for six years.While neither musician ever spoke out to confirm or deny the alleged relationship, the two were rumoured to have split earlier this month. Healy also subtly hinted towards the split at a recent show in Austria.“That was very, very kind of you and I’m sure that it’s alluding to…,” he said after reading a fan’s sign saying “You are loved”, referring to the alleged split.

Liam Gallagher has announced a new live album, taken from two of his solo gigs at Knebworth. Check out newly-shared footage of him playing ‘Roll It Over’ below.Announced by the former-Oasis frontman last week (June 9), the new live album will feature footage from across two of his solo shows at Knebworth, held at the grounds on June 3 and 4 last year.Titled ‘Knebworth 22’, the live album will feature a career-spanning variety of tracks from the singer-songwriter — taken both from his solo career and from his earlier work with the Britpop icons.This includes hits including ‘Everything’s Electric’ and ‘Come On You Know’ from his solo projects, and Oasis classics such as ‘Wonderwall’, ‘Supersonic’ and ‘Champagne Supernova’.Alongside the announcement comes a live video of the artist performing ‘Roll It Over’, a track which originally featured on Oasis’ fourth studio album ‘Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants’ (2000).

Noel Gallagher has been announced to perform during a special Later…With Jools Holland episode that’s dedicated entirely to him.Holland revealed his forthcoming appearance “later in the series” during last night’s (June 10) episode of the show on BBC Two.He also previewed the special with Gallagher’s live performance of ‘Open The Door, See What You Find’, taken from his new album ‘Council Skies‘. Foo Fighters and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are currently in a neck-and-neck race to reach the Number One spot on the UK album charts this week.Both acts released their latest LPs — ‘But Here We Are’ and ‘Council Skies’ — last Friday (June 2) and as it stands, it is too close to call which one will reach the peak position on the Official Album Chart by the end of this week.Currently at the midweek mark, Noel Gallagher has surpassed the American rockers and stands as the UK’s best-selling album with his fourth solo album with High Flying Birds. That being said, the two remain almost neck and neck, as just 200 units separate them from first and second position.The victory would no doubt mark an important milestone for Foo Fighters, as ‘But Here We Are’ marks their first full-length LP since the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins in March last year.
