Sir Elton John dedicated his performance of Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me to late friend George Michael during his Friday night show at British Summer Time (BST) Hyde Park festival in London. Introducing the track, which found a second wave of success in 1991 as a live cover version between Sir Elton and Michael, the Candle In The Wind chart-topper said: ‘I miss him, and we all miss him, and we miss his visage. So, George, I love you and I miss you – here we go.

Nirvana‘s Krist Novoselic, former Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones, Pink, Nandi Bushell and many more have been added to the line-up for the forthcoming tribute gigs for late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.Nile Rodgers, Greg Kurstin and LeAnn Rimes who performed with Taylor Hawkins & The Coattail Riders on their 2019 album ‘Get The Money’, have also been added to the bill. Elton John began the UK leg of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour in Norwich last night (June 15) – check out fan-shot footage and the full setlist below.The pop legend announced the first UK dates for his final ever run of shows in 2018, stating then that he wanted to spend more time at home with his two young children.However, the Australian leg of the tour was brought to a sudden halt in March 2020 due to the COVID pandemic. The stint eventually resumed in New Orleans, Louisiana this January almost two years on from John’s previous live appearance.After recently wrapping a string of European concerts, the singer has now made his UK live return.

Amyl & The Sniffers have announced a new run of North American tour dates, marking their second tour of the continent this year.The new dates will see the Australian band return to the United States in September and October. The tour will begin with an appearance at the first-ever Los Angeles edition of the  Primavera Sound festival, before taking the band on a run of 14 headlining shows across the country.It follows on from the band’s previous tour in April and May of 2022.
