aespa have released a powerful music video for their new single, ‘Girls’.The music video opens with a shot of a digital city, before it delves deeper into the girl group’s SM Universe lore, with an appearance from the AI character Naevis. Elsewhere in the clip, aespa perform the song’s fierce choreography in futuristic rooms, while also making references to their older title tracks.“Scream (Get loud), listen (My sound) / Call it (Upgrade), we coming / Blooming in chaos (We Them Girls), and confronting fear, that courage / Whenever we are together, we them girls, we them girls,” aespa sing on the chorus.‘Girls’ is the title track of aespa’s new mini-album of the same name, which was also released today (July 8).

Spice Girls are set to reunite for one night only as a five-piece, for a special performance at Geri Horner’s 50th birthday party.  Geri will be the first of the band to turn 50, with her birthday being on August 6, and she is already planning some very special moments for the big day.  According to reports, Geri has enlisted bandmates Emma Bunton, Mel B, Mel C and Victoria Beckham to take part in their first performance together in 10 years at her party.

Paul McCartney duetted virtually with John Lennon during tonight’s Glastonbury headline set (June 25).Following the surprise arrival of Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and Bruce Springsteen during his set on the Pyramid stage, he linked up with former Beatles bandmate, the late Lennon during ‘I’ve Got A Feeling’.Speaking to the crowd, McCartney revealed that the idea came from Peter Jackson, the director of the recent extensive documentary Get Back, which was based on the studio sessions for the band’s final album ‘Let It Be’.Check out previous footage below of the collaboration previously shot in Washington State.The pair traded verses in the song, with Jackson having isolated Lennon’s vocal for the team-up. McCartney first debuted the collaboration with his former co-songwriter on his recent US tour.“I’ve got a special little thing here,” he said introducing that track.

Johnny Depp and Jeff Beck have shared a cover of The Beach Boys‘ ‘Caroline, No’ from their upcoming collaborative album, ’18’ – watch its music video below.The single, which is an instrumental version of The Beach Boys’ original, was accompanied by a music video of Beck and his band playing the song for an appreciative live audience, though Depp was understandably missing from the music video. Mel C took to the stage at Glastonbury Festival for a genre-spanning DJ set earlier today (June 23).Performing on the William’s Green stage, the Spice Girl treated the audience to an action-packed 60-minute show.Opening with the Spice Girls’ ‘Spice Up Your Life’, she started the set by asking, “Do we have any Spice Girls fans in the house?” to cheers from the crowd.Decked out in a shirt reading “Alexa, play Spice Girls”, an hour of back-to-back hits followed, with Mel C spinning tunes like Lil Nas X’s ‘MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)’, Cardi B’s ‘I Like It’ and Pulp‘s ‘Common People’.The biggest reaction, though, was reserved for a mash-up version of Spice Girls’ ‘Who Do You Think You Are’ with Nirvana’s ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ that saw the sweaty, packed-out tent (and the hundreds of festivalgoers listening from outside the entrance as they couldn’t get in) join together in a mass sing-a-long.Elsewhere at Glastonbury, it remains unclear if The Chemical Brothers will be able to play the festival.They’ve rescheduled a headline show in Cork tonight (June 23) “due to multiple cases of COVID-19 within the band and crew” and confirmed they’re still unsure if they’ll be able to play the festival this weekend.

The Spice Girls have paid an emotional tribute to Danielle Hampson after she died suddenly before her wedding to X-Factor star Tom Mann. Tom posted an update to his Instagram on Monday to announce that Dani, his fiancée and mother to his eight-month old child, Bowie, had passed away suddenly in the early hours of Saturday, June 18.
