Vick Hope has opened up on how she was picked on at school by mean bullies that called her a “gorilla” because of her “hairy legs”.Things seem to be going well these days for the 32 year old radio presenter, with her successful career and recent engagement to DJ Calvin Harris, 38, however the star has shared how she’s secretly “geeky” and was picked on by others back in her school days.The star, who appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, explained: “I used to get a bit bullied at school.The boys would make fun of me for having hairy legs. “I used to get called ‘gorilla’. I was so upset and angry.” Although she's now found love with Calvin, she admitted things haven't always been easy.
She continued to The Sun: “I have been accused on dates of interviewing them. You get used to driving conversations. "I love knowing about people and I am inquisitive.That is why I enjoy my job.
"In relationships you often wish that things will go a certain way but you can’t control someone else’s thoughts, feelings and actions." Back in May, the star got engaged to Calvin Harris following a whirlwind five month romance and was later seen showing off her sparkling diamond ring at the Chelsea Flower Show, but she later admitted that she first turned the musician down when he expressed interest in her years previously. A recently resurfaced clip from her Radio 1 show saw her sheepishly recalling the moment she turned Calvin down when she was 19. Vick was pressed on the moment by her co-host Roman Kemp, who gushed about Calvin having the biggest "glow-ups" he'd ever seen.
