Things are already heating up in the Love Island villa, but it looks set to get even hotter over the coming days with temperatures rising up to 40C in Mallorca. A mega heatwave has already started to hit Spain, and the Islanders have been soaking up the sun with highs of 37C in the villa so far.

Luca Bish is currently residing in the Love Island villa over in Mallorca, but back in Brighton the star has a stunning family abode filled with stylish decor.The 23 year old fishmonger, who has been compared to Westlife star Kian Egan, lives down on the south coast with his family, including older sister Claudia, who has been looking after his social media accounts while he's in the villa. On her own TikTok account, claudiaworks, she's given Love Island fans a sneak peek inside her and Luca's family home, leaving many stunned by the incredible property.

Comedy is the subject today for this week’s edition of Deadline’s podcast, TV Talk. Deadline TV critic Dominic Patten and Awards Columnist and Chief Film Critic Pete Hammond take on the Emmy Awards race for Best Comedy Series, where Apple TV+’s juggernaut Ted Lasso is looking for a two-peat after taking the category in its first season last year.

With Love Island back on our screens, a whole host of singletons are looking to find love in the popular dating show’s new Majorcan villa. Among one of the contestants to join the lineup is Luca Bish, who has been coupled up with fellow Islander Paige Thorne since day one. And while the 23 year old may be on the lookout for love, before his time on the show, the Brighton-based fishmonger briefly dated a familiar face.

Love Island contestant Luca Bish has been making a strong impression in the brand new Majorcan villa so far, with the star setting his sights on the likes of Paige Thorne. But prior to the fishmonger's entrance into the hit ITV2 dating programme, he had a serious, long-term relationship with beauty influencer and tattoo artist Sophie Floyd. Luca, who has an array of tattoos, told The Sun that the pair had been together for four years after meeting at school in Brighton, but went their separate ways in 2021 after he realised there were things he "didn’t like and we drifted apart." But in an unearthed clip from Sophie's YouTube channel, it appears there may be more to the story than originally stated.

The tight race for one of Emmy’s most prestigious categories, Outstanding Drama Series, is the topic for this week’s edition of Deadline’s podcast, TV TALK.  Awards Columnist and Chief Film Critic Pete Hammond and Deadline TV critic Dominic Patten go at it in trying to make sense of the contenders, and who may have the edge – or not. Last year the winner was Netflix’s The Crown which finally triumphed after several tries and led to a breakthrough in the category for the first time for the streamer. However, as is the case with so many series that take a year off – or more – and then return to the contest, The Crown is not eligible to defend its Emmy crown this time around.

Love Island is set to make a welcome return to screens on 6 June with a whole host of new singletons ready to search for love. Ahead of the launch of the new series, ITV bosses have now unveiled this year's line up on contestants who are heading to Mallorca to stay in the brand new villa.

 The series also stars Omar Epps, London Brown, Malcolm Mays, Hailey Kilgore, Joey Bada$$ and Shanley Caswell  with Quincy Brown and Toby Sandeman recurring. Antonio Ortiz has been made a series regular in Season 2.
