TUI has issued a warning to passengers about its food service over the coming days. In a statement, the holiday firm said there will be 'no hot and cold meals or sandwiches' available on board its short and mid-haul flights.
The service will be tightened due to 'staff shortages with our catering supplier,' TUI confirmed in an update on Thursday (5 May). The travel agency will still be offering 'a limited offering of snacks and drinks' and are directly contacting those who will be affected.
Instead, TUI is advising customers to plan ahead and bring their own food and drinks with them. However, any soft drinks over 100ml will need to be purchased after passing through security, and alcohol is not permitted.
