Trams were completely stopped on Thursday night after a reported fight which left two people injured. A man was arrested by dog handlers on suspicion of assault after the incident, which happened near Abraham Moss tram stop shortly before 8pm.
Officers arrived at the scene and arrested one male after he was found and detained by specialist dog handlers. The condition of the two people injured has not yet been confirmed but they were taken to hospital.
Transport for Greater Manchester announced that services on the Bury line between Whitefield and Queens Road were completely cancelled. It is understood the incident happened near Abraham Moss tram stop.

TfGM said at 8pm: "Due to a police incident, the Bury line is currently suspended. There is currently no service between Whitefield and Queens Road."
The services had resumed around an hour later, at 9pm, after the male was arrested. The North West Ambulance Service have been contacted for details of the injuries of the two people who were hurt.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed that they had received reports of a 'fight' which left two people with injuries. They were conveyed to hospital from the scene.
