Junaid Ahmed looked happier than ever when he revealed to OK! he can't imagine life without TOWIE after joining the cast this season. Many will recognise Junaid from Lovestruck High, but the 27 year old tells us he is "loving every single minute" with being a part of The Only Way is Essex family. OK! attended the official TOWIE launch party at Aqua Nueva where we saw the Essex stars dress up to the nines as they came together to look back on the show.
Here, we speak to Junaid about joining the cast and what we can expect from the gang's time in the Caribbean… Hi Junaid, how are you doing since joining the TOWIE family? Really good, good. I’m loving every single minute. It's a dream come true.
How has it been with everyone? It's been amazing. And I'm just I've just loved it. I'm so sad we’ve almost finished filming.
It’s gone really quick! But being in TOWIE is like having another family. How did it come about? I've been in talks with TOWIE for years. Yeah, so we've been in talks with the producer.
I've been in touch the last couple of years, but after doing Lovestruck High last year, TOWIE then got in touch. I was screaming! I had a meeting with the execs, and it was just amazing, but it makes sense. Like all my best friends on the show.
It just naturally made sense to me. Do you think it could be quite daunting if you didn’t know anyone? Yeah, I think for any new person coming in, it's quite a scary thing when everyone knows each other inside and out already. But for me, I knew everyone anyway.
So, I was really lucky. How do you deal with drama? I live and breathe drama. Wherever the drama is, I want to be there.
I’m not shy to speak my mind when it’s necessary. I’m going to ruffle a few feathers. Joining the show was

Back in the early 2000s, you probably got quite used to your laptop crashing all the time, but could the problem have been that you were just listening to Janet Jackson too much? As nonsensical as that question sounds, the answer is possibly yes.In a recent blog post, Microsoft software engineer and Windows historian Raymond Chen has revealed that a “major computer manufacturer” once came to the company with an unusual issue. Certain laptops running Windows XP would crash when playing the video for Janet Jackson’s 1989 single ‘Rhythm Nation’.“One discovery [made] during the investigation [was] that playing the music video also crashed some of their competitors’ laptops”, Chen explains.
Janet Jackson‘s 1989 single ‘Rhythm Nation’ is said to have the power to cause older laptops to crash. In a recent blog post (via Hot New Hip Hop), Microsoft’s principal software engineer, Raymond Chen, explained: “The song contained one of the natural resonant frequencies for the model of 5400 rpm laptop hard drives that they [an unnamed major manufacturer] and other[s] used.”Chen claimed that the frequency caused laptops from around 2005 to crash after playing the audio. The issue is similar to how an opera singer is able to shatter glass by singing at a certain pitch.“The manufacturer worked around the problem by adding a custom filter in the audio pipeline that detected and removed the offending frequencies during audio playback,” he continued.“I would not have wanted to be in the laboratory that they must have set up to investigate this problem.
The Super Bowl XXXVIII incident was not the only malfunction surrounding Janet Jackson’s music in the mid aughts. Soon after that debacle, a computer manufacturer discovered that playing “Rhythm Nation” — a 1989 smash from Jackson’s fourth studio LP, Rhythm Nation 1814 — crashed a model of 5400-RPM laptop hard drives widely in use at the time.
the Wall Street Journal first reported. That’s just slightly less than the $8.99 million she sought when it hit the market in April. The “Together Again” star had owned the condo since 1998 when she purchased it for $2.8 million — or $5.13 million in today’s inflation-adjusted figures — via a legal entity named the Puffy Trust, the Journal noted.
1989 hit “Rhythm Nation” is too much for some laptops to handle. Microsoft’s principal software engineer Raymond Chen revealed on his blog Tuesday that the song has the same frequency as some older model laptops’ hard drives — called a resonate frequency, which is the natural frequency of an object. And, unfortunately, it can cause laptops to shut off.
