Tottenham Hotspur are 'to battle' with Arsenal for the signing of Manchester City forward, Gabriel Jesus, according to an emerging report.
The Brazilian was a key part of the City squad who picked up their fourth Premier League title in five seasons after Sunday's dramatic 3-2 victory over Aston Villa. Over the course of the season, Jesus has popped up with some big goals - including the winner against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and another in a 2-2 draw against Liverpool at the Etihad.
However, the 25-year-old is looking more and more likely to leave the club this summer, with his agent confirming last month that the player has held talks with several European sides regarding a potential transfer. Mike McGrath of the Telegraph says Tottenham are now poised to compete with Arsenal for Jesus' signature. Antonio Conte's side now have the lure of playing Champions League football next season and are looking to bolster their squad to compete on multiple fronts.
The player's agent, Marcelo Pettinati is aware of Spurs' interest but is keeping all potential avenues open for Jesus to decide his next move.
Elsewhere, James McAtee is attracting a lot of interest from a number of Championship clubs who want to take the promising youngster on-loan.
The Salford-born midfielder signed a contract extension earlier this season that will keep him at the Etihad Stadium until at least 2026, but it looks like he may not be spending the 2022/23 campaign with the first-team squad. According to Alan Nixon, City will let McAtee go out on loan next season, with Swansea and Huddersfield heading the queue.
