Paddy McGuinness was a picture of despondency this week, as the BBC indefinitely paused production on his motoring series Top Gear. The 49 year old dad-of-three has co-presented the show since 2019 alongside ex-cricketer Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff and Chris Harris, following the exit of previous stars Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May several years earlier, who collectively jumped ship to Amazon Prime Video for The Grand Tour. News of Top Gear's axe arrived on Thursday in light of 45 year old Freddie's life-threatening injury while working behind the wheel for the show. Back in December at Surrey's Dunsfold Aerodrome, he was involved in a horrific accident that saw him airlifted to hospital.
