The Rookie world is expanding.Niecy Nash joins the fray as Simone Clark, the oldest rookie in the FBI Academy, for a two-hour backdoor pilot setting the table for a potential spinoff. In Nash's debut episode, which airs Sunday, Officer John Nolan (Nathan Fillion) and the Los Angeles division of the FBI enlist the help of FBI trainee Clark when one of her former students is suspected of terrorism following an explosion at a local power station.«Simone is so fun to play,» Nash tells ET's Rachel Smith of her character.

On April 22, Toro y Moi will premiere a new short called GOES BY SO FAST, a film co-starring Eric André based on the upcoming seventh studio album MAHAL. The film, premiering at Brain Dead Studios in Los Angeles, is directed by Harry Israelson who has collaborated with Toro y Moi on his concert film Live From Troma.

And yet that’s what happened as last Friday’s pre-Grammys MusiCares tribute to Mitchell in Las Vegas was followed Wednesday in Los Angeles with “Homeward Bound: A Grammy Salute to the Songs of Paul Simon,” both with spectacularly curated lineups worthy of the feted. And although the Mitchell night is not set to be publicly aired, the good news for fans is that the Simon salute was filmed for a future CBS broadcast and is destined to be one of the highlights of the music-TV year.
