Tom Hanks Boards Wes Anderson Film

It’s not a shock when we see Wes Anderson pull together a massively talented cast of A-listers for a film project. For decades, that’s been his modus operandi.

Two-time Oscar nominee Scarlett Johansson has joined the cast of Wes Anderson’s next feature, which is currently in production in Spain, Deadline can confirm.

This will be Johansson’s second appearance in an Anderson film, having lent her voice to the beautiful, exiled show dog Nutmeg in the 2018 animated film “Isle of Dogs.” Anderson’s latest project, which is currently untitled and is shooting in Spain, will also star Tom Hanks and Margot Robbie along with Anderson regulars like Adrien Brody, Bill Murray and Tilda Swinton.

While many are still waiting to watch director Wes Anderson‘s October release “The French Dispatch,” the filmmaker is already assembling a cast for his next pic, an untitled film reportedly heading into production this week in Spain. Apple TV+.Finch marks the second Hanks movie to be acquired by Apple Original Films following Greyhound (2020). Miguel Sapochnik (Game Of Thrones) has directed the film from an original screenplay by new writer Craig Luck and Ivor Powell.The official synopsis for the movie reads: “In Finch, a man, a robot and a dog form an unlikely family in a powerful and moving adventure of one man’s quest to ensure that his beloved canine companion will be cared for after he’s gone.
