Tom Cruise is poking fun at James Corden‘s recent announcement!
Late last month, the 43-year-old late night host confirmed that he would be leaving the Late Late Show in the summer of 2023.
During Tuesday’s (May 3) episode of the show, Tom told James he was “sorry” to hear he would be stepping away.

“It’s such a privilege to be here. I’m sorry about the news, I’m sorry you got fired,” the Top Gun: Maverick actor joked.
“I’m here for you tonight, whatever you need,” he continued. “I would not have fired you. I’m here for you if you need anything.”
James thanked Tom for his support and asked if he could borrow money, to which Tom replied that he truly meant “anything.”
“It’s amazing to be here to see everyone and see you and be alive,” Tom said.
