“Star Wars” fans are enjoying their first look at the latest Disney+ TV series from the franchise, with Rosario Dawson reprising the role of Ahsoka Tano, which she introduced in “The Mandalorian”.

Lucasfilm still hasn’t released a “Star Wars” feature film since 2019’s “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.” But that hasn’t slowed down the studio’s live-action division as they have been primarily focused on creating original TV content for Disney+. It’s hard to argue that one of their more prestige series is “Andor,” a prequel focusing on the origins of Rebellion spy Cassian Andor while also exploring other rebels running things secretly on Coruscant under the looming threat of being discovered by the Empire.

Fans of “Star Wars” animated shows were obviously excited when “The Mandalorian” opened the door for live-action incarnations of “Clone Wars” characters like Bo-Katan and Ahsoka Tano. Ahead of its debut, Apple TV+ shared the first look at the star-studded cast and revealed the premiere date for the 10-part season. In the upcoming thriller created by Goldsman, Holland, who also serves as an executive producer, plays a man named Danny Sullivan, who is arrested following his involvement in a 1979 shooting in New York City. Told through a series of interviews conducted by a curious interrogator, Rya Goodwin (Seyfried), the story of Danny's life unfolds, revealing how elements of his past shaped his future, including the twists and turns that led him to a life-altering incident. Rossum, meanwhile, plays Danny's mother, Candy, while the rest of the cast is rounded out by Sasha Lane, Will Chase and Lior Raz as well as guest stars Jason Isaacs, Christopher Abbott, Thomas Sadoski and Zachary Golinger.Filmed on location in New York City during the summer of 2022, Zendaya was even seen at one point paying Holland a visit on the set of the upcoming series. The star was all smiles as she visited her boyfriend after the two confirmed their romance following years of speculation.

Apple TV+ has set Friday, June 9 for the premiere of The Crowded Room, its upcoming limited series created by Oscar winner Akiva Goldsman (A Beautiful Mind).
