Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford took to our screens for their final Friday slot on This Morning to wish viewers a goodbye. The married couple were reportedly furious to learn they were being axed from the hit ITV show, and replaced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.

Eamonn Holmes has liked a tweet saying that showbusiness can be “cruel” following the confirmation from ITV that Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary will be replacing him and wife Ruth Langsford on This Morning.The news was confirmed in a statement from ITV on Monday 30 November and Eamonn has been liking tweets sent to him from fans showing support. One in particular made reference to the television business being cruel.

It has been officially announced by ITV that from January onwards, Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford will no longer be appearing on This Morning.
