This Morning fans have praised the show for organising a "brave" live on-air breast examination that took place during Monday's episode to raise awareness of cancer and the importance of checking your breasts. Monday's episode was headed up by Holly Willoughby and Alison Hammond, who welcomed interior designer and author Dame Kelly Hoppen, 63, to talk about her cancer diagnosis.
Kelly revealed on Monday that she had ignored eight years of mammogram checkup letters before discovering that she had breast cancer.Thankfully, she's now been given the all-clear. She admitted that she is "still scared" to check her own breasts, and that she has to ask her partner to do it for her.
A brave volunteer and breast cancer survivor named Liane then came on to the set dressed in a white robe, which she then undid so Dr Saya Kayat could demonstrate how breasts should be checked for any irregularities that could indicate cancer. This Morning fans rushed to Twitter to praise the show for tackling the subject, as many commended volunteer Liane for taking part.
