Navigating the neglected hallways of an old hospital in Withington as a child is what initially sparked Matt's interest in exploring abandoned buildings.

Aged just 11 and 'looking for something to do' with his cousin, the youngsters stumbled across a doorway to the unknown. It would lead them along crumbling halls, through a morgue and operating rooms, unmasking a forgotten history.
