Theatre-goers are being warned to plan ahead with disruption expected this weekend. Road closures are due to come into force across the city centre tomorrow ahead of Sunday's Great Manchester Run.
Ticketholders attending tomorrow's performance of The Cher Show at the Opera House, and Saturday and Sunday's performances of Beauty and the Beast at the Palace are being advised to plan their journey. Closures will begin tomorrow morning and some will not be lifted until late on Sunday.
In a statement theatre bosses said: "If you are travelling to the theatre to see either Beauty and the Beast or The Cher Show, please be aware that this weekend is the Great Manchester Run and there will be a number of road closures around Manchester.

"This may impact travel to or from the Palace Theatre and Opera House so please do plan ahead and leave plenty of time for your journey. The run will take place on Sunday 22nd May but there are a few road closures on Saturday as well."

Tonman Street from Deansgate to Barton Street will be closed from 9am until 11pm. Access Tonman via Barton Street and Longworth Street via Camp Street.
Liverpool Rd from Barton St to Deansgate from 06:00 until 19:00 Sunday 22nd.
