Mishael Morgan just made major history at the 2022 Daytime Emmys!
The 35-year-old actress picked up the Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actress and it made her the first woman of color to win the award on Friday (June 24) in Pasadena, Calif.
“I’m so proud of this generation,” Mishael shared on stage while accepting her award. “…I am being honored regardless of the cover of my skin …for being the best at what I do.”
She added, “We are breaking glass ceilings left, right and center. We can and we will do this thing called equality and unity together.”
Mishael was nominated alongside Days of Our Lives stars Marci Miller and Arianne Zucker, and General Hospital stars Cynthia Watros and Laura Wright.
