Peter Caranicas Deputy EditorThe 16th Los Angeles Greek Film Festival announced the winners of the Orpheus Awards on May 15, with director Araceli Lemos’ “Holy Emy” taking home the award for best fiction feature film.The prizewinners were revealed at the fest’s red carpet closing night and Orpheus Awards celebration at the Silver Screen Theatre in the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood.Festival Director Aris Katopodis opened the sold-out ceremony with praise for the live event, which went virtual in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic. “What an exceptional Festival week we have had,” he said.

There were a number of winners at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards, ranging from Doja Cat, Olivia Rodrigo and Ye, but the annual ceremony couldn’t quite take home any primetime prizes on Sunday.

The new wins take their total across all BBMAs to 12 trophies, becoming the group with the most victories in the history of the event.Destiny’s Child’s previous record – which was unbeaten for 17 years – was 11 wins.

Silk Sonic performed a cover of Con Funk Shun’s ‘Love’s Train’ at tonight’s Billboard Music Awards 2022.The annual awards show is taking place tonight (May 15) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.Following an opening performance from Diddy, featuring Jack Harlow, Bryson Tiller and Teyana Taylor, Silk Sonic took to the stage to perform the cover. The duo – comprised of Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars – were dressed in matching red suits and joined by a backing band wearing complementing outfits.The performance of the Con Funk Shun song, the original of which was released in 1982, followed Silk Sonic sharing a recorded version of their cover on Valentine’s Day this year.
