A micro pub's outdoor drinking area, which contains two deckchairs and a table, has been crowned the 'Smallest Beer Garden' in the UK.

The New Inn, in Yarm, Teesside, was given the title by Capital Breakfast, with landlord Ross Buchanan saying it was "probably the proudest moment" of his life.

Radio show presenter Roman Kemp awarded the boozer a cup after it was able to fulfil jokey criteria including "a wonky table, mismatching coasters and at least two plants".
