BBC's latest reality show The Traitors has been making waves after one contestant dropped a huge bombshell on Tuesday evening.
The show features 22 contestants living in Ardross Castle in Scotland in which where three competitors are secretly given the role of a 'Traitor'.
Unlike the contestants, viewers know who the Traitors are. Fans of the show watch as contestants try to figure out who is a faithful and who has secretly been 'murdering' the others, reports the Mirror.
So far, the group of Traitors have met in secret each night to kill off another competitor. However, at the end of Tuesday's episode, they were told they would be putting three of the 'Faithful' on trial and then they would 'murder' one of them that evening.
As host Claudia Winkleman arrived to tell them the that Alex, Ivan and John would be going on trial, the group descended into chaos before Tom revealed he had something to tell everyone.
Stepping onto the table, Tom got everyone's attention as the dramatic scene unfolded and confessed that he and Alex are dating.
Tom began as everyone quietened down to hear what he had to say, "This is a lot. And obviously, we've got three people on the line. I'll be honest - love you all. Alex is not a traitor, straight up, she is my girlfriend."
The news left their fellow contestants gobsmacked and there were floods of tears from all of them as they reacted to the shocking news. Matt was stunned as he thought he was getting quite close to Alex since they had joined the show.
"We came to find traitors, but we came separate with individual stories," he continued as the other contestants looked on completely shocked.
