‘The Santa Clause’: Elizabeth Allen-Dick Joins Dad Tim Allen, 3 Others Cast In Disney+ Limited Series

Serial killers are a popular source of inspiration whether true-crime adaptations, network procedurals (including a touted “Criminal Minds” revival), or fictional stories. Audiences have been lapping up gruesome material long before television entered the fray and subverting or introducing a different perspective in this genre is a tall task.

Matt Bomer has signed on to star in a brand new Showtime series.

Matt Bomer is set to star in the upcoming Showtime limited series “Fellow Travelers,” Showtime announced Wednesday.The series is based on the novel of the same name by Thomas Mallon and tells the love story story of two men who meet in the shadow of McCarthy-era Washington. Bomer, who is also an executive producer on the show, will play Hawkins Fuller, who has a lucrative career in politics while keeping behind the scenes.

Bomer will play handsome, charismatic Hawkins Fuller, who maintains a financially rewarding, behind-the scenes career in politics.

The project comes from Grey’s Anatomy alums Joan Rater and Tony Phelan, Susanna Fogel, ABC Signature and Keshet Studios.

The Irish romantic psychological drama “Normal People” from BBC Three, Hulu, author Sally Rooney, and Academy Award-nominated director Lenny Abrahamson (“Frank,” “Room“) was a huge hit in the spring of 2020, distracting many through the pandemic and creating a word of mouth buzz that continued all summer long. The series also made big, breakout stars out of its leads Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal, who have gone on to become very in-demand actors.

Spencer Boldman (Lab Rats) has been tapped for a recurring role opposite Kumail Nanjiani and Murray Bartlett in the Hulu limited series Immigrant (working title), from Pam & Tommy creator Robert Siegel.

A Friend Of The Family comes from Nick Antosca, who serves as showrunner, writer and executive producer.
