The Masked Singer has lost two of its celebrity contestants tonight in a double eviction - Viking and Blob were unmasked as Morten Harket and Lenny Henry. Blob and Viking’s identities didn’t come as much of a surprise to many of the show’s fans, who had insisted that they were definitely comedian Lenny Henry and singer Morten Harket since the beginning of the series.

Fans of the Masked Singer were convinced that Blob was Sir Lenny Henry – and it turns out they weren’t wrong! The star was unmasked on Saturday 30 January as the baffled panellists looked on. Blob had performed three times so far on the show, wowing the public with his renditions of Bruno Mars’ Uptown Funk, Cameo’s Word Up and Pitbull’s Hotel Room.
The hit singing competition, which was filmed before current lockdown restrictions were introduced, is presented by Joel Dommett and features panellists Rita Ora, Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan, who all sit separated by perspex glass. Seven mystery singers took to the stage before two of them were eliminated and unmasked this evening.
