Love Island star Danica Taylor has revealed that the villa bedroom is not as private as viewers might assume. While it appears that contestants get up to antics in bed in the dark, Danica, who was joined by her beau Jamie Allen speaking to OK!, confessed that the bedroom is more exposed than it looks. “The lights don’t go off fully,” the 21 year old told us in an exclusive clip.
“It’s bad enough that I would turn and I’d see Jamie’s full face. We’d be laid in one end of the corner and, like, Gemma [Owen] and Luca [Bish] would be on the other far side, and I could see everything. “I could see the colour of [Luca’s] T-shirt, whether they were laughing, giggling, or smiling — it was that clear.
“When the lights go off, you’re like ‘Is that it? Is this what I’m going to have to sleep in?’” Danica met footballer Jamie, 27, after he arrived as a bombshell later on in the series. The pair hit it off immediately and went on to recouple together, enjoying a few nights in the main bedroom, before they were voted out days ahead of the final. Danica explained that there were also occasions the girls would sleep separately from the boys on what was called “rest days” in between filming. During his time, Islanders were allowed tasty takeaways, as Danica told us: “We had McDonalds a lot of the time on our rest days, where they would put us separate from the boys and we weren’t allowed to speak about villa life.
“So, the girls would stay in one area for the day, the boys would be in another. “It would be a chill day. We would sort out our wardrobes, talk about random things and then we’d have some food, usually a takeaway, and then we’d go and sleep in same sex beds.
