The Lost City makes a Number 1 debut on the Official Film Chart, entering on digital downloads only.
Finishing ahead of Morbius (2) which last week saw its release on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD, star-studded adventure-comedy The Lost City sees a reclusive romance novelist gets swept up in a kidnapping attempt by an eccentric billionaire, and her handsome cover model sets off to rescue her – landing them in a cutthroat jungle adventure. The Lost City’s cast includes Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum, Daniel Radcliffe, Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Brad Pitt among several other household names.
Meanwhile, The Batman enjoys another week in the Top 5 at Number 3, last week’s Number 1 Sonic the Hedgehog 2 drops to Number 4. Top Gun (5) and The Bad Guys (6) follow close behind.
At Number 7 and entering the Top 10 for the first time is Michael Bay’s latest action blockbuster Ambulance, starring Jake Gyllenhall, Vanya Abou-Mateen II and Eiza Gonzáles; it climbs nine places following its release on disc.
Our second brand new entry this week comes from war drama Operation Mincemeat, which debuts at Number 8 on digital downloads only. Finally, Rounding off the Top 10 is former Number 1s Sing 2 (9) and Spider-Man: No Way Home (10).
