The Lathums have been announced as very special guest headliners at this weekend’s Neighbourhood Festival.The Wigan band were announced last minute to perform at the Manchester Academy as part of the festival across the city centre this Saturday (October 1). It will be their first show in Manchester since they they played at the O2 Victoria Warehouse last October.The Lathums join previously announced headliners The Snuts, Everything Everything and Sundara Karma and the likes of Alfie Templeman, Baby Queen, Brooke Combe, Gracey, The Goa Express, The Skinner Brothers, Dylan, Pastel and Afflecks Palace.You can see the updated line-up poster below, and purchase tickets here.

Brent Lang Executive Editor “Devotion,” a drama about a group of elite fighter pilots during the Korean War, will screen at the opening night of the Urbanworld Film Festival. The Sony Pictures and Black Label Media production was directed by J.D. Dillard and stars Jonathan Majors, who will serve as the festival’s official ambassador. HBO will return as a founding partner of the Urbanworld Film Festival, and Visa will serve as presenting partner. BAFTA Special Awards are honorary awards presented to those who have made a significant contribution to film, games and television through a particular project or their overall body of work. The Special Awards, which among others include the Outstanding Contribution to Cinema Award and the Fellowship Award, are a mainstay of the British Academy’s U.K. prizes. BAFTA says these year-round awards are an “evolution” of the Britannia Awards ceremony, an event that was previously hosted once a year in Los Angeles, and which last took place in 2019. The org has made clear to Variety that the Britannia’s aren’t necessarily canceled, but will rather take on a different shape as more awards are presented across the calendar year.
