If you follow the Duchess of Cambridge and her fashion choices then it won't come as a surprise to you when we say that her wardrobe is made up of a few signature looks. From chic blazers and feminine midi dresses to suiting and gorgeous designer gowns , these items have become synonymous with Kate's style – and we love her for it. Another key item we've spotted the Duchess wearing, usually on less formal occasions, is the classic Breton top, also known as a striped jumper.
We've seen her in the timeless look countless times and she always looks sensational. In July this year, Kate visited the 1851 Trust and the Great Britain SailGP Team in Plymouth, and made sure her choice outfit had a nautical nod.The Duchess chose a classic navy and white jumper Breton jumper paired with white shorts from British brand Holland & Cooper featuring luxe gold button detailing. Being a fan of the nautical stripe, she, of course, has a few faithful designs in her wardrobe of wonders. Back in May 2019, the Duchess of Cambridge attended the launch the King's Cup Regatta at the Cutty Sark, Greenwich, with her husband, and opted for a simple yet stylish look (as seen above). Here, she teamed her striped knit with navy trousers from LK Bennett and a red suede clutch to add a little pop of colour.
Being a classic dresser, Kate tends to pop for navy or white striped styles. However, we also loved it when she wore this striped top from Sandro with loose navy trews and her favourite Superga sneakers. If you're looking for the perfect transitional buy, as autumn is just around the corner, the striped jumper is definitely the way forward.
