Her Majesty QUEEN ELIZABETH II
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II died peacefully at Balmoral on 08/09/2022, aged 96 years.
Born Princess Elizabeth Alexandra Mary on April 21,1926 in London, Her Majesty was the oldest daughter of Prince Albert, Duke of York and Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon.
The young Princess' destiny was forever changed in December 1936 when her uncle, King Edward VIII abdicated the throne making his brother, and Princess Elizabeth's father, Prince Albert Duke of York, King George VI. Princess Elizabeth then became Heir Presumptive to the throne.
Princess Elizabeth married Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten of the Royal Navy, formerly Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark on 20 November 1947. Prince Phillip was given the title Duke of Edinburgh and served loyally by the side of Her Majesty The Queen until his death on 9th April 2021.
