The Big Lebowski actor Jack Kehler has died following a battle with leukaemia.The American star sadly suffered from complications after years of fighting the blood cancer. He was 75. Jack had an incredible career in Hollywood that spanned 40 years and also saw him star in major comedy films such as Pineapple Express.The star's family confirmed the news of his passing, and son Eddie shared that his dad had spent his last days in hospital in Los Angeles in a statement to Variety.
Well-known for his scene-stealing 90s films, Jack was rarely the lead but always an almighty presence in Hollywood. He played the ally and hilarious pizza owner Ben in Men in Black 2 alongside Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, and was most recognised for his role as Marty the Dude's landlord in The Big Lebowski.
After launching his career in the theatre at 24, fresh in Hollywood, he rose to fame in a number of major productions, going on to star in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me and action blockbuster Lethal Weapon 4. Jack also had a prolific TV career, regularly scoring guest roles on big hitters such as Bones and Mad Men. He also starred on medical favourite ER and alongside Kiefer Sutherland on 24.
Earlier on his career, the actor also had parts in America's popular cop shows of the 80s, including Cagney & Lacey and Hill Street Blues. And in his later years, played the recurring role of Harlan Wyndam-Matson in The Man In The High Castle. Jack's last role was as another landlord in Love, Victor.
