A stunning Scottish seaside town on the country's 'golf coast' has been deemed one of the best places to retire in the UK.
North Berwick in East Lothian made the recent list by the Sunday Times as it was considered to offer the best range of activities and hobbies for retirees.
The town was described as a lively hub where people of all ages could find something fun to do. The list commended one particular viewpoint in North Berwick as one of the "most spectacular" sights in southern Scotland.
The publication wrote: "The lively, independent high street has plenty going on and the town is now younger, livelier and has something for all generations."
The town is full of clubs that accommodate all sorts of hobbies, including walking, cycling, yoga and ceilidh dancing.
And if you fancy hitting a round of golf, there are two courses, one of which - The North Berwick Golf Club - is the 13th oldest golf club in the world.
It also treats residents to beautiful scenery, from the picturesque seaside to the nearby hills which can be enjoyed by keen walkers.
The Times adds: "The landscape is a delight, and easily accessible, though for the seriously active, sunrise from the top of North Berwick Law is one of the most spectacular sights in southern Scotland."
If you were to ever want even more than what the small town has to offer, you could always jump on a 30 minute train to Edinburgh for a day out from Scotland's capital.
However, if you wanted to move to North Berwick you would need some serious money behind you. The town's average house price sits at £305,000.
The Times did find that smaller retirement flats on the market are a little cheaper, with one in the town centre coming in at £175,000.
