Marnie Swindells is one of just two remaining The Apprentice contestants vying for a huge business investment from Lord Alan Sugar. She’s up against Rochelle Anthony as the two women battle it out in the finale tonight.The 28 year old Barrister and Court Advocate is hoping to win the investment, which former winners have used to build successful businesses, for her London boxing gym Bronx which she opened in Camberwell in February 2023.The reality TV contestant actually began her career as a boxing pro before studying law.
After growing up in Manchester, Marnie became interested in boxing at the age of 17 when she was looking for something to channel her anger over losing her dad suddenly and shockingly when she was just a little girl. Marnie has revealed that she was the only girl at her local gym, but that didn’t put her off and she ended up moving to London aged 18 to pursue a professional career in the sport.
From 18 to 24, the businesswoman competed as a boxer and won several medals, including some gold, and also worked as a promoter and coach. Just two years later, at the age of 26, Marnie was called to the bar. However, Marnie hasn’t abandoned boxing entirely and is now the proud owner of a gym at the age of just 28.
When the multitalented contestant isn’t working on either her law or boxing careers, she’s often found spending time with her partner. Marnie got engaged to her boyfriend, boxing coach Michael Harris, in October 2022.The two have been open about how happy they are and Marnie
