Leading supermarkets will be giving away free veggies this Christmas so that the little ones can leave something behind for Rudolph.
With Christmas now less than a week away, many will be getting into the festive spirit. A popular activity is leaving milk and mince pie out for Santa - as well as some carrots for the reindeer.
Both Tesco and Morrisons will help shoppers get a hold of carrots to leave out, as they have both launched free veggie promotions.
For the fourth year in a row, Tesco will be putting up its popular free ‘Carrots for Rudolph’ stands, reports the Mirror. Customers shopping in select Tesco Express, Extra or Superstores should be able to find the stands near the store entrance.
The Big Four supermarket will keep the stalls up from December 20 until Christmas Eve.
Morrisons are launching a similar promotion, although the free carrots will only be available between Thursday December 22 and Friday December 23.
Carrots will be given away at all of the chain's 498 stores across the country as part of their festive celebrations. The giveaway will focus on wonky carrots in a move to encourage families to choose 'ugly' veg more often and reduce food waste.
Senior carrot buyer at Morrisons Andy Todd said: "Christmas is a magical time of year and we want to help our customers celebrate in any way we can.
"Our delicious wonky carrots are hugely popular as they help our British farmers reduce waste and are a cheaper alternative for customers. We only hope the reindeer enjoy them as much as our customers do."
