As vulnerable members of society, children deserve the protection of those who should know better. Tragically, the courts hear far too many cases where children have been groomed or manipulated by men years their senior, or where offenders have hoarded images linked to the sexual exploitation of children.
From a bizarre child abduction case, to a man who sought to prey on youngsters but was caught out by police - here are ten men whose offences should be known ab out by parents and the public at large.

Lingard's crimes 'disgusted' his victim's family. Lingard, a former soldier, lured a 12-year-old boy and other children back to his house where they were allowed to stay over, drink alcohol and vape.
His 'deception' involved allowing the boy's father to believe he was a parent of one of the other children. Speaking of Lingard, 38, the dad said: "He groomed and manipulated a young boy by allowing him to do things he knew were illegal for a boy of that age."
Lingard had been known as someone in the area who would teach boys about nature and making dens, drawing on his experience as a soldier, a court heard. Lingard, of Schofield Street in Radcliffe, pleaded guilty to five counts of child abduction concerning one boy between July 2019 and January 2020. He was not charged with any sex offences.
He is due to be sentenced in September after specialist reports are drawn up to give the judge a 'deeper understanding' of the 'frankly bizarre' behaviour.
