Many are seeing this winter’s World Cup as his last, but his statement indicates he is eyeing Euro 2024 which would likely be his final international tournament. On Friday, Ronaldo posted several photos of him in Portugal training on his Instagram ahead of next week’s games. He captioned it: “Home, sweet home!”
It soon received a reply from SC Braga, who are commonly touted as the country’s fourth biggest club, behind the ‘big three’ of Porto, Benfica and Sporting Lisbon - Ronaldo’s first club. The final photo posted by the player sees him bracing to take on a shot at goal.
In response, the club’s social media admin joked: “Third photo… you’ve missed right? Tell us the (truth). You still the GOAT.”
Ronaldo became the all-time men’s leading international scorer in November and has since increased his tally to an incredible 115 goals.
