Dancing On Ice skated to a close on Sunday night with Joe Swash and pro dancer Alex Murphy winning the series.

This week was a tough one for a lot of people on our cast, crew, and production team, who were mourning the incredibly sad loss of Caroline Flack.There were tears rolling down many faces as Philip and Holly paid an emotional tribute to Caroline, and I couldn’t be prouder of everyone for supporting each other backstage and cheering each other on during the live show. In particular there were a lot of open arms ready to hug Joe Swash as soon as he’d performed his routine.

Sunday night’s Dancing On Ice elimination saw fans sharing their displeasure with the result, as week seven drew to a close and Maura Higgins’ Dancing On Ice journey did too. In the bottom two were Love Island star Maura Higgins and Scottish Paralympic sprinter Libby Clegg and the two ladies faced off in a skate-off which saw the judging panel decide their fate.

Despite this week being a fairytale themed show, we’ve had a bit of a nightmare what with illness amongst the cast and also the decision from Caprice to leave the show. I really didn’t see that coming, and I think it came as quite a shock to everyone but it really is a case of ‘the show must go on’.

Caprice Bourret has deleted her popular Twitter account just hours after announcing her decision to quit Dancing On Ice.The model, 48, announced she was leaving the ITV show after a “hard few months”, just weeks after she “split” from her skating partner Hamish Gaman. Caprice’s social media account has now disappeared, with fans of the star questioning why she’s removed her Twitter account.

Caprice Bourret has showed off her the nasty bruises on her body from training for ITV's hit skating show Dancing On Ice. Taking to Instagram, the American model posted a compilation shot of four separate bruises around her body.The first shows a painful-looking giant bruise on her knee and down her leg, a second shows one on her thigh, while a third and fourth show two red bruises on either side of her waist.

Maura Higgins walked the red carpet at the National Television Awards in a risque dress that left little to the imagination.

What a series, already there’s been so much drama! So far we’ve had Michael Barrymore breaking his wrist and having to pull out of the show, Caprice Bourret and Hamish Gaman parting ways, and now Joe Swash's pro partner Alexandra Schauman is having to take time out after a freak fall caused her to badly injure her shoulder.

I don’t know whether Love Island's Maura Higgins was more nervous she’d fall on the ice or more worried about getting a higher score than Joe Swash. From watching what they’re like in each others company, next week I’m fully expecting them to step up the rivalry between them and step up the psychological warfare.

Joe Swash had the unenviable task of being the first celebrity on the ice, but he put on a solid performance. I wasn’t sure whether he’d pull it out of the bag on the night because his skating is 50-50 as to whether it‘ll go right or badly wrong.
