Shawn Levy stopped by “Happy Sad Confused” to promote his new film “All The Light You Cannot See,” but he talked about loads of other stuff, too. And yes, Marvel fans, he talked a lot about his upcoming MCU installment, “Deadpool 3.” When prompted about how much heart and emotion the film might have, perhaps a little facetiously, Levy quipped back, “there’s a f*ckload more than you think.” Sounds like the third “Deadpool” film may be the best so far.

Promoting his new “A Nice Indian Boy” film at SXSW, actor Karan Soni—who plays Wade Wilson’s loyal pal and cab driver Dopinder in the “Deadpool” movies—dished some fun details about “Deadpool & Wolverine,” and previous iterations of the film. While speaking to Screen Rant, the actor reminded everyone that, at one point, “Deadpool 3” was meant to be a Christmas movie.

More than six years after “Deadpool 2,” the third and belated “Deadpool” movie, now officially titled “Deadpool & Wolverine,” is nearly here. Marvel Studios’ sole 2024 movie, coming in the summer, is also Marvel’s first R-rated movie, and it’ll be the first movie released after the studio’s first flop, “The Marvels,” so a lot is riding on it.

If you believe the scheduling, as of now, then Marvel Studios is putting all of its 2024 film eggs in one basket, “Deadpool 3.” Thankfully, anticipation for “Deadpool 3” is through the roof, as it’s a beloved franchise and the new one will be the first in the MCU. And if set leaks are any indication, the film is going to have a ton of Easter Eggs and cameos.

With the entry to the X-Men into the MCU, there’s been plenty of rumors of who would play a new rendition of the fan-favorite Wolverine. Sure, Hugh Jackman returns to reprise his role as Logan for “Deadpool 3,” but that may be a one-off.
