If you’re a fan of Zack Snyder (and lord knows, there are plenty of you guys online), then you’re well aware “Rebel Moon” arrives on Netflix in December. Many will take notice of its impending release, as a new Snyder film seems to generate a lot of buzz amongst fans and non-fans alike.

With “Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver” hitting Netflix tomorrow, Zack Snyder is making the press rounds to promote his latest film. But the most intriguing stuff he talked about on the Happy Sad Confused podcast didn’t have anything to do with “Rebel Moon” at all.

The DCEU (the DC Extended Universe) is coming to an end this week with “Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom” (read our review). From there, it’s being rebooted as the DCU by DC Studios and its co-CEO filmmakers James Gunn and Peter Safran.

After “Justice League” floundered in production in 2016 and Zack Snyder left the film (and the DCEU), his Snyderverse fell apart. Everyone knows Joss Whedon took over “Justice League” after Snyder left, but as for who would chart the DCEU’s course into the future, there were dozens of rumors over the years of who could have taken over.

Ever wanted a behind-the-scenes take on how desperate Warner Bros. was for the DCEU to be like the MCU? Variety reports that screenwriter David S. Goyer went into detail about the rapid creation of WB’s ill-fated cinematic universe while on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast.

After myriad delays, James Wan‘s “Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom” hits theaters on December 20, bringing the DCEU to a close. And despite all those release changes, Warner Bros.

There’s only two films left before the DCEU wraps: “Blue Beetle” on August 18, and “Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom” on December 20. After that, James Gunn & Peter Safran start from scratch with their DCU, with Gunn’s “Superman: Legacy” kicking things off in 2025.

In just two weeks, Andy Muschietti‘s “The Flash” dashes into theaters, ushering in the multiverse into the DCEU. The synopsis for the film? After Ezra Miller‘s Barry Allen goes back in time in an attempt to save his parents from getting murdered, he changes the present into one where superheroes he knows no longer exist.

**Spoilers for “Black Adam,” though everyone involved with the film seems perfectly content with spoiling things…** Overshadowing the promotion of “Black Adam” in the week or so before the release last Friday, the question of whether or not Henry Cavill would return as Superman in the post-credits scene became a huge discussion point. Sure, the Justice Society is introduced in the film.

Even though “Black Adam” hasn’t even officially hit theaters yet, there’s already lots of buzz about the film’s end-credits scene. So, a spoiler alert if it’s not apparent to the reader what that scene entails: Henry Cavill returns as Superman to stare down Dwayne Johnson‘s Black Adam.

Unlike the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which seems to be on a shared path between all of its films and TV series, the folks at DC Films are a bit more scattered. There’s the stuff James Gunn is doing with his “Suicide Squad”/“Peacemaker” misfits, there’s whatever is going on with the “Shazam”/“Black Adam” worlds, which may or may not be connected to the larger DCEU, there’s the dark world of “Joker,” the recently launched world of “The Batman,” and let’s not get started on whatever is going on with “The Flash.” Needless to say, it’s a bit of a continuity mess.

Just because “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” (aka The Snyder Cut) was released last year on HBO Max, that doesn’t mean the news surrounding the film is going away. Now, more than a year removed from its release, it appears the entire #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement is starting to get examined.

While no one has seen the finished film just yet, it’s clear from all the marketing, Matt Reeves’ take on “The Batman” sheds a lot of the silly comic book-y aspects of the character in favor of a realistic, gritty look at what drives a man to dress up as a bat to fight crime. And that’s by design, as the filmmaker is looking to keep this “grounded” with his take on the Caped Crusader, which means that there will have to be big changes, down the line, if he were to use a villain like Mr.

The Wonder Twins are getting activated. Yep, remember DC’s The Wonder Twins created for the 1970s Saturday morning cartoon “The Super Friends”? Well, they’re getting their own movie.
