Adrianne Lenker has announced her new solo record ‘Bright Future’ and has shared a new single, ‘Sadness As A Gift’.The Big Thief vocalist and guitarist will release her sixth solo record, having previously shared the minimalistic lead single ‘Ruined’. Lenker’s album will also feature the original recording of ‘Vampire Empire’, which she first released with Big Thief last year.Now, the singer has unveiled her new song ‘Sadness As A Gift’, which is heavily inspired by country and folk. Big Thief‘s Adrianne Lenker has debuted a new single ‘Ruined’ and announced a 2024 UK and Europe tour.The track is set to become the lead single from Lenker’s forthcoming sixth solo album, which will land next year. Singer-songwriter and Big Thief guitarist Buck Meek has confirmed details of a new solo album. Haunted Mountain will be released on August 25 and today's announcement arrives alongside the album's title track.

Big Thief have announced plans for a world tour in 2023.The jaunt will include several dates in the UK which kick off at Gateshead Sage on April 5, along with further dates in Edinburgh, Manchester, and Cardiff, followed by two shows in London which wrap up at the Eventim Apollo on April 12.This will be followed a series of European dates throughout the rest of the month.Tickets for the UK shows go on sale this Friday (September 16) at 10am and can be purchased here. Big Thief have cancelled two shows in Tel Aviv, less than a week after they were first announced, following criticism over their decision to play in Israel.The band, who released new double album ‘Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You’ back in February, were set to play a pair of shows in bassist Max Oleartchick’s hometown on July 6 and 7.But today (June 9), they’ve confirmed that both shows will be cancelled.“We would like to start by clarifying a few things from our first post. When we spoke of loving ‘beyond disagreement’ and not knowing ‘where the moral high ground lies,’ that was in specific referred to playing shows in Israel during a time where BDS (The Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement is a Palestinian-led movement promoting boycotts, divestments, and economic sanctions against Israel) is calling for a cultural boycott,” starts the post.

Big Thief have shared a new collection of demos. Demos Vol. 1 - Topanga Canyon, CA - Feb 2018 features five songs, including three that have never been released and two that appeared on Adrianne Lenker’s 2018 album abysskiss. The sessions eventually led to the albums U.F.O.F. and Two Hands.
