As well as grunge, pop-punk and acoustic guitars, it slinks through rumbling, dirty bass (‘Low’), soulful, classic ballads (‘Gone Girl’), chipmunk soul (‘Smoking On My Ex Pack’), and much more.“In some other artists’ hands, that collage could feel unfocused, but under SZA’s command it feels cohesive, organic and like every skip into a new genre is completely justified for each track.”Looking forwards, SZA recently hinted at a future collaboration with Miley Cyrus, after she teased future “surprises” for fans and hinted at a forthcoming deluxe edition of the new album. One of those surprises may be a Cyrus collaboration, if a new tweet from SZA is to be believed.Reacting to Cyrus’ own chart-topping success with new single ‘Flowers’, SZA tweeted: “MAJOR

Thania Garcia Months after its Dec. 9 release, SZA’s “SOS” is still riding high. This week, the 23-song set tops the Billboard 200 for the ninth week — the highest tally for a female-led album in almost seven years. The last two albums by women to achieve nine or more weeks at the summit in the last decade were Adele’s “25,” which boasted 10 nonconsecutive weeks in 2015-16, and before that, Taylor Swift’s “1989” dominated for 11 weeks in 2014-15. In the week ending Feb. 16, SZA’s sophomore release earned 93,000 units in the U.S. and 127 million streams according to data by Luminate. Following Rihanna’s highly-anticpated return to the stage for the Super Bowl halftime set on Feb. 12, the star’s 2016 release “Anti” rebounded to No. 8 on the chart (from its prevous No. 50 position) with 36,000 album units sold. On Spotify, her streams spiked more than 640% across the U.S, while streams for the set’s opening track, “Bitch Better Have My Money,” surged by over 2,600%.

The tally means the World War One epic now holds the record for a film not in the English language. The previous record was held by 1988 film “Cinema Paradiso,” which won five BAFTAs. Meanwhile Colin Farrell starrer “The Banshees Of Inisherin” won the second largest number of awards of the night, including both supporting actor categories with wins for Barry Keoghan and Kerry Condon (who emerged as the correct winner after fellow nominee Carey Mulligan’s name was initially called in error.) Writer and director Martin Mcdonagh also won for Original Screenplay and Outstanding British Film, although his swipe at the film’s producer Searchlight – when he quipped that he had landed an award for the script without any notes from the studio – prompted a mixed response from the audience, with some possibly perceiving the comment as arrogant. The director quickly made it clear he wasn’t being serious, saying “kidding, kidding.”
