Euphoria fans have praised the HBO series for offering an look at the high school experience, but many have noted that Sydney Sweeney, who plays Cassie, seems to have a disproportionately large amount of nudity in her scenes. Put bluntly: She's topless quite a bit.Addressing this pattern in a new interview, Sweeney gave some important context for how the show approaches those scenes.
"Sam is amazing," she said, , praising series creator Sam Levinson. "There are moments [in the script] where Cassie was supposed to be shirtless and I would tell Sam, 'I don't really think that's necessary here,'…He was like, 'OK, we don't need it.'" Sweeney explained, "I've never felt like Sam has pushed it on me or was trying to get a nude scene into an HBO show.
